Beats by Dr. Dre

It was a big week for news.

First, there was that guy in The Hamptons who left his receipt in the ATM showing a balance of $100 million. If you're reading this, please reach out because we have so many questions. Why do you keep $100 million in a savings account? Ever heard of interest? Or the bond market? Are you married? Dating anyone? Why did you only withdraw $400? Was that enough for a loaf of bread and banana at Citarella?

While we're waiting for the answers, we'll tell you the week's other big news:

We had the best four minutes of our life.

No offense to ex-boyfriends who may take credit for the same thing, but our favorite blissful four minutes ever came listening to Jay-Z’s "Young Forever" on Beats by Dr. Dre.

We've seen the red, white, and black Beats headphones on cool kids all over the place, but we were too busy struggling to keep our earbuds in to take note. When we finally went to get replacement headphones, the salesperson convinced us Beats were life-changing.

He was right.

When we're listening to music on our Beats 'phones we feel like we're in the studio. We're listening to music the way it was meant to be heard. And the packaging, logo, and design are all great too.

Dre makes a variety of styles, but we're wearing the big old school ones. We definitely get noticed ... we think in a good way.

Oh, and Beats are noise-canceling as well. So if you're that guy from the Hamptons and you're in Sun Valley this week for "the conference," you can also use them to drown out your Boeing Business Jet's engine noise.

See, we're always thinking of the practical.
